PRINCIPAL

Rachel’s experience includes a wide range of project types including military facilities, civic projects, transportation, and education projects but with a main focus on parks and recreation open spaces. Her parks and recreation work ranges from small pocket parks in urban, high-density areas, to playgrounds and children’s gardens, sports complexes, and regional parks plans. As a certified playground safety inspector and a certified inclusive play design specialist, she brings technical knowledge in playground safety, inclusive play, accessible design, and universal access techniques. Her work on playgrounds and parks seeks to create inclusive, multi-generational places that spark an experiential awareness of the outdoor environment. In addition, she applies extensive knowledge of universal and ADA access and site security standards to the design of outdoor spaces.
