Longview Athletic Facility Complex Master Plan

This master plan illustrates Roy Morse Park’s transformation into an athletic facility complex and multi-use park. As part of an extensive community and stakeholder outreach process, HBB facilitated a 2-day community design charrette where the public worked with City staff and the design team to create multiple design concepts and, ultimately, a preferred master plan design. The community’s long-term vision focuses on a multi-use approach to the fields and park spaces – maximizing use of the park for a variety of interests and ages throughout the day and year-round. A focus of the master plan is improving the athletic fields to create an athletic complex which will facilitate league games and regional sports tournaments with focus on providing space for all age-groups and for the whole community to use. The plan also includes play areas, a recreation building, a disc golf course, sports courts, and flexible open spaces.
