Cap Sante Boat Haven
Port of Anacortes, WA
Cap Sante Boat Haven is a marina with permanent and transient moorage, whale watching cruises, working fishery fleet and U.S. customs port-of-entry located on the eastern waterfront of downtown Anacortes. HBB has led landscape architecture improvements to several phases of the upland redevelopment of the boat haven, funded in part by RCO – A.L.E.A. grants and Dept. of Ecology funds. HBB provided design services for the central pier incorporating cable railing, lighting, and a compass rose. HBB redesigned 3,900 linear feet of esplanade with viewpoints, gathering areas, a plaza with iconic sculpture, and a gathering plaza with recycled glass aggregate surfacing. The project spurred adjacent development of an Anthony’s Restaurant and several incubator businesses.
