Edmonds Interurban Trail
Edmonds, Washington
The Interurban Trail is built along a former inter-city electric trolley rail line that operated between 1910 and 1939. Approximately one mile in length, the Edmonds section of trail is comprised of three segments: an urban arterial segment, a dedicated segment, and a joint-use trail along a residential street. Lake Ballinger Station includes a pedestrian plaza with amenities such as drinking fountain and water bottle refill station, an information kiosk, and seating underneath a shelter. Solar powered LED’s light the shelter and the interpretive displays.
