Meridian Habitat Park Trail

As part of the overall improvements to Meridian Habitat Park, HBB worked on a natural and accessible trail system that connects various areas of the park and provides a loop trail around an on-site wetland. HBB coordinated the placement of an artist-designed gateway at the northeast entrance to welcome visitors into the trail and Meridian Habitat Park. Additionally, the trail around the wetland is situated to increase visibility from Meridian Ave E and 144th Ave E inviting future visitors to use the trail and the park. The trail is constructed of crushed stone material and sealed to meet ADA design guidelines. During construction, HBB worked with the contractor and parks staff to stake and located the ideal trail alignment with a goal of minimizing grading and disturbance to the large, mature trees and to maintain the adjacent wetland vegetation.
