Grandview Downtown
GRANDVIEW, WA
After receiving two grants for downtown improvement planning, HBB assisted the city in developing a concept for an ‘Alive’ downtown. The concept was developed in conjunction with downtown business owners, residents, elected officials, and city staff. The ‘Alive’ concept includes streetscape redevelopment examples, parking capacity studies, gateway features, and public parking locations. The final project features signature site furnishings, concrete paving, stone paving accent, bands, pedestrian lighting, street trees, planting areas, and wider sidewalks in the downtown
core area. A pedestrian passageway connects Division Street to the public parking area. The project received the 2011 Award of Excellence in the Director’s Award category on behalf of WSDOT and the Federal Highway Administration.
